Eir Evo Talent has partnered with a client, we are looking for aMicrosoft Defender Engineer to join their cybersecurity team on a contract basis. This hybrid role, based in Dublin, is ideal for a professional with deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Microsoft security ecosystems. You'll play a key role in strengthening our security posture and supporting ongoing threat detection, response, and prevention efforts. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Defender solutions (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, etc.) Integrate Defender with Microsoft Sentinel and other SIEM/SOAR tools Monitor and respond to security incidents using Defender capabilities Tune policies, alerts, and detection rules to reduce false positives and improve response times Collaborate with IT, security operations, and compliance teams to ensure secure configurations and alignment with best practices Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigations Requirements: 5+ years in a similar role Proven experience implementing and managing Microsoft Defender technologies in enterprise environments Strong understanding of Windows security architecture and endpoint protection strategies Experience with Microsoft 365 Defender suite and Microsoft Sentinel Familiarity with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management Relevant certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-300, MS-500) are a plus Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders REF: EET7208 Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
