As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will have the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Conference and Banqueting Department.
* Manage all aspects of departmental functions and provide regular feedback to senior management on areas for improvement.
* Ensure seamless setup and breakdown of function rooms for weddings and other events.
* Maintain open communication channels with Wedding and Events Managers to ensure timely updates and approvals.
* Deliver exceptional customer service by showcasing hotel facilities to guests in the absence of senior management.
* Support Sales, Events, and Wedding Teams as needed, providing expertise in banqueting services.
* Stay up-to-date with menu offerings and pricing, identifying opportunities to optimize function room usage and collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Director.
* Organize promotional events for guests and staff as required, promoting a positive brand image.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of products, presenting them according to company standards and ensuring accurate presentation of beverage and wine lists.
* Ensure high-quality delivery of all banqueting duties, prioritizing guest satisfaction and experience.
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends, making recommendations for service improvements or rate adjustments as necessary.
* Collaborate with other departments to efficiently address guest requests and concerns.
* Stay informed about menu updates, promotions, and special activities within the hotel and surrounding area.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive checklists and records for maintenance standards and departmental procedures.
* Foster a positive team environment, promoting fairness and consistency in dealings with colleagues.
* Ensure the upkeep and organization of wedding storage areas are maintained at all times.
