The NRE focuses on applying engineering to measure and automate network reliability, aligning with service-level objectives, agreements, and goals. Responsibilities include responding to network disruptions, identifying root causes, collaborating to restore functionality, automating routine tasks, and supporting a global network supporting millions of servers over diverse infrastructure.In this role, you will:Support design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud environment (OCI)Develop and contribute to procedures and tools for safe network changesCreate solutions for support teams to respond to network failuresParticipate in network design processesProvide support for network events, lead root cause analysisAutomate routine tasks through scriptingCoordinate with automation and monitoring teams to develop tools and create alert rulesBuild dashboards for network performance analysisCollaborate with vendors and QA teams to resolve bugs and qualify firmware and OS updatesParticipate in an on-call rotationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s in CS or related field with 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or Master’s with 2+ yearsExperience in network operationsStrong knowledge of protocols like MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, VxLAN, EVPNExperience with scripting (Python preferred), automation, and data center designKnowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, SSLExperience with network monitoring and telemetry solutionsFamiliarity with network modeling and programming tools like YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONFAbility to resolve complex issues creatively and effectivelyAbility to work independentlyExcellent organizational and communication skillsInfluence product roadmap and priorities
