 
        
        Morgan McKinley are seeking a highly organised and proactive
Logistics & Inventory Manager
to take ownership of our end-to-end logistics operations - from inventory control and customs documentation to outbound distribution for our fast growing client based in
West Cork.
This is a key operational role ensuring our products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time to customers across domestic and international markets.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, combining operational know-how with a passion for driving process improvement and continuous efficiency gains. You'll bring strong supply chain expertise, excellent team leadership skills, and ideally experience within the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Inbound Logistics
 * Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
 * Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular audits.
 * Implement and refine inventory control processes to minimise waste and uphold product quality.
Customs & Compliance
 * Manage all customs documentation, ensuring full compliance with import/export regulations.
 * Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant regulatory authorities.
 * Stay informed on international trade and compliance developments.
Outbound Logistics
 * Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments to domestic and international customers.
 * Optimise transport routes and carrier performance for cost efficiency and reliability.
 * Manage cold chain logistics to ensure product integrity throughout distribution.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
 * Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse and logistics team.
 * Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
 * Take a hands-on approach while identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
 * Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics and inventory management (food industry experience preferred).
 * Strong understanding of customs processes and international shipping.
 * Proven leadership experience in team management and cross-functional collaboration.
 * Proficiency with inventory management systems and ERP software.
 * Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
