The role focuses on maintaining system integrity and compliance, leading Microsoft 365 administration and security, supporting the Azure migration, and ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery.Role & ResponsibilitiesManage security across Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune) using MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Zero Trust principles.Conduct regular security reviews, improve the Microsoft Secure Score, and oversee Defender solutions (Endpoint, Office 365, Cloud Apps, Identity).Define and execute incident response procedures and deliver user security awareness training.Oversee Microsoft 365 compliance (GDPR, Cyber Baseline Standards, DLP, encryption, retention, eDiscovery, ISMS contributions).Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including accounts, groups, licences, Teams Phone, and system integrations.Manage Windows and Office updates, patching, imaging, and configuration.Implement and manage Intune MDM/MAM policies, MFA/SSPR, BitLocker, and device compliance controls.Maintain on‑premises servers during decommissioning; manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity.Support the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Azure services (AD Connect, Backup, and licensing).Provide tier 2/3 Microsoft 365 support, troubleshooting connectivity, sync, and email flow issues.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, deployment, and remediation.Conduct admin audits and implement privileged identity management for secure role administration.Promote collaboration tools, automation, and best practices using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.Stay current with Microsoft cloud updates and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceStrong, proven experience securing and administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and Windows environments.Expertise in Microsoft 365 security, compliance, threat detection, and incident response.Experience in Intune management, PowerShell automation, and Azure administration.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a structured, proactive approach. ExperienceAdministration of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments in enterprise or education settings.Delivery of Microsoft Defender implementation and governance frameworks.Involvement in large-scale migration or cloud‑first ICT transformation projects. Education & CertificationsDegree in ICT or professional certificationsDesirable: Microsoft Certifications (e.g. MS‑102, MS‑500, SC‑300, AZ‑104) or equivalent experience; Professional Diploma in Cyber Security.
