* Preparation, cooking, portion control and service of all food required for the daily meal service and buffets/functions as required.
 * Assist with compiling menus
 * Preparation of special needs diets
 * Minimise waste and identify cost saving measures
 * Maintaining high standards of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety including record keeping
 * Support, assist and supervise assistant cooks, catering assistants, catering domestics
 * Ordering and stock control including stock takes.
 * Cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
 * Carry out any other duties associated with the role and as assigned by management
 * Such other duties as may be necessary to ensure residents receive a satisfactory and enjoyable meal service
 * Comply with Health and Safety Regulations and Fire Policy. Report hazards to management.
 * Operate any control systems as defined by the Head Chef, completing necessary records
 * Attend and complete all training assigned by the Home
 * Assisting and deputising for Head Chef
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €16.00-€19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 39 per week
