Job Description
General Responsibility:
The Avionics Technician is responsible for maintenance and repairs to keep aircraft working safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Compliance with organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group MOE and supporting manuals.
Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
Adhering to safety and deactivation/reactivation requirements.
Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner.
Complying with internal and mandatory reporting requirements.
Complying with the safety policy.
Signing off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope and limitations of an authorisation, where issued.
Notifying crew leader and inspector of mistakes requiring rectification to re‑establish required maintenance standards.
Removal and installation of electrical components.
Replacing connectors.
Wire running and replacements.
Replacing antenna at height.
Use of general test equipment.
Compliance with AMM and aircraft drawings.
Compliance with H&S practices.
Good computer literacy.
Operating powered and non‑powered ground equipment.
Completing aircraft maintenance documentation and entering data that is accurate and complete.
Candidate Requirements
Must hold a valid aircraft standards‑based qualification with at least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience; knowledge of aeronautical regulations PART‑145 and PART‑66; fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Desirable Criteria
Experience in Boeing/Wide Body aircraft.
Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
Proficient organisational skills and ability to work efficiently.
