Duties & Responsibilities:
* Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
* Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
* Preparing meat and fish
* Assisting with the management of health and safety
* Assisting with the management of food hygiene practice
* Monitoring portion and waste control
* Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
* Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant's service
* Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
* Cleaning the kitchen at end of service
Skills and experience
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
* Creative, innovative and extremely well organised.
* Up to date with current health food trends as well as forward thinking for future trend opportunities.
* Excellent communications skills with fluency in English language
