About the Opportunity We are looking for a Director of Nursing with prior experience of managing, who has excellent leadership qualities, a positive disposition, and strong clinical skills to work with and lead a fabulous team of nurses, carers, catering, housekeeping and administration staff to deliver safe, person centred, high quality care to lovely residents in a beautiful setting, in line with HIQA standards and Health Act **** regulations This is a senior leadership role where you will provide strategic clinical direction, operational oversight, and service development for a well-established residential care facility.
You will be supported in your role by two experienced Assistant Directors of Nursing, ensuring a strong and collaborative clinical leadership team.

Key Responsibilities Provide strong clinical and operational leadership for the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents.
* Oversee all aspects of resident care and support the development of clinical best practices and care pathways.
* Lead and support the Assistant Directors of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Managers, and wider clinical team to ensure the delivery of excellent, compliant care.
* Ensure full compliance with all HIQA regulations and standards, including the implementation and monitoring of a robust quality management system.
* Drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes staff engagement, development, recruitment, and retention.
* Contribute to the strategic development of the service, including the introduction or enhancement of care services as agreed with the CEO and senior leadership team.
* Exercise sound financial management, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control while maintaining exceptional care quality.
* Act as the primary point of contact with key stakeholders, including HIQA inspectors, multidisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
* Collaborate with other Directors of Nursing within the group to ensure consistency of care, shared learning, and continuous improvement.
Eligibility Criteria Registered General Nurse (RGN) with at least 3 years' experience in the last 6 years working in the Older Person sector.
Hold a post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' management experience in health or social care.
Registered with NMBI and on the live register.
Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership and healthcare management.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and drive results.
Strong understanding of budgeting and financial oversight.
Ability to motivate and develop teams and work independently when required.
