Join to apply for the Data Architect role at Millennium.We are looking for a talented data architect to take technical ownership of a mission-critical organization wide master data platform. In this role the engineer will be responsible for implementing sophisticated data structures in a relational database to support a rapidly evolving business. The role will require designing future-proof relational data models to support business needs and planning for migration from current-state architecture to future state architecture. The ideal candidate should have deep experience architecting and managing high sensitivity/high connectivity data platforms in SQL.ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform and stage data.Work directly with business and tech partners to design future-state data architecture to support complex relationships between enterprise-critical objectsWork deeply in SQL to analyze shortcoming of the existing architecture and plot a course for optimizing the modelCoordinate with various upstream/downstream systems across the organization to establish and maintain data governance standardsUnderstand the data model across multiple business domains and appropriately map into cross functional reports and dashboards.Work across a number of ongoing projects and delivery streams while prioritizing with the users changes and features.Skills And RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.8+ years of experience in data-focused roles5+ years of experience architecting and managing relational data models3+ years of experience in a direct data ownership role with respect to data architecture and/or data qualityExperience working with data distribution platforms (like Snowflake)Expertise in broader-level data ingestion and distribution architectureExpertise in SQLAbility to identify bottlenecks in relational databases and optimize views, tables and queries for performanceComfortable working in either an agile team or independently depending on project needsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesInvestment Management
