Job Title: Senior Science Director
The Senior Science Director is a key role that demands leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to foster collaboration. This position plays a critical part in enhancing patient health by leveraging the collective expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders, and therapeutic experts within our PPD Laboratory Services team.
Key responsibilities include managing laboratory staff, allocating resources for project activities, coordinating daily operations, and overseeing quality and project timelines. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing company policies, quality systems, and training programs.
As part of your management duties, you will participate in bi-annual SOP review and change, own changes needed to follow SOPs, and regularly communicate quality-related issues and items for staff development and implement quality improvements.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar, and previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Confirmed leadership skills, management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or analytical contract laboratory industries, stability/QC/analytical R&D/project and program management, direct supervision of technical staff, and a full understanding of GMP requirements, client SOPs, ICH guidelines, EP and USP requirements, EMA and FDA guidance's are essential.
