Human Resources Specialist Position
The HR Officer will provide a professional human resources service to staff members in the Cork and Kerry Services. This includes providing advice on best practices in HR-related issues, HR reporting, HR administration, day-to-day HR queries, and projects/initiatives for the HR Department.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Human Resources Manager and team to deliver an exceptional HR service to staff members.
* Provide expert advice to managers on best practices in HR-related issues in line with HR policies and procedures.
* Deliver comprehensive HR reporting, administration, day-to-day HR queries, and projects/initiatives for the HR Department.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
* A relevant third-level qualification in HR from a recognized institution, such as Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI), or membership of CIPD.
* Relevant experience in the public service/healthcare sector is highly desirable, as well as exposure to working within multi-unionized settings.
* A minimum of five years' experience in HR in a multi-team environment; extensive experience in recruitment, selection, and retention; experience of absence management and a proven track record relating to same.
* Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, team-working, communication, strong ICT, and organizational skills.
