Role Profile An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Associate Legal Counsel (Company Secretariat), reporting to the General Counsel and based in our Head Office at Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny / or our Dublin office in Citywest.
This role will have responsibility for the supervision and management of Company Secretariat filings and compliance and will work closely with the business advising on a broad range of legal issues in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities Supervise and manage Company Secretariat filings and compliance requirements for Irish and international matters Advise on general data queries, data subject access requests, data breaches, data processing agreements and general data protection queries Evaluate intellectual property activities including new developments and trade mark proposals, and advise on ownership, use and potential infringement activities Review, draft and negotiate day-to-day legal agreements (including confidentiality agreements and terms and conditions) Advise generally on corporate legal matters including shareholder matters, regulatory issues and assist with on-going updates to company policies and developing training materials for the business Co-ordination and execution of legal documents generally, assisting in preparing documents for meetings and managing the case management system for the legal team Requirements Third level Law or Business degree Professional Qualification (Solicitor or Company Secretary) Minimum of 1 years+ experience as a qualified solicitor or assistant company secretary either in-house or in a large / mid-tier law firm Experience in a company secretariat in-house team or law firm providing company secretariat services Strong communication skills Broad business knowledge and ability to understand complexities of Tirlán's operations and business relationships Strategic thinker who is a capable problem solver Ability to work on own initiative and be motivated to deliver the legal department's value-added agenda Ability to multi-task and use a systematic and analytical approach to identifying issues and problem solving with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
