Public Affairs and Communications Executive
A major semi-state organisation is hiring a Public Affairs and Communications Executive to join their Public Affairs Department.
The role will also have a dotted reporting line to the overall Energy Performance of Buildings Directive ("EPBD") Project Manager within the project management reporting structure.
The role will lead on the deployment and implementation of a strategic public affairs and communication plan in relation to the EPBD. The Public Affairs & Communications Executive will also be expected to support public affairs advice and policy development across the organisation specifically those relevant to the EPBD.

Key Responsibilities:
12. Assisting and supporting SEAI's Head of Public Affairs in the development and implementation of a public affairs and strategic communication plan for the implementation of the EPBD.
13. Leading on the deployment of the public affairs and communication plan.
14. Liaising and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
15. Foster two-way dialogue with key external stakeholders to build trust and understanding around the implementation of the EPBD.
16. Collaborate with colleagues in the Corporate Services Directorate to anticipate and manage reputational risks.
17. Supporting the Head of Public Affairs in Identifying and advising on overall public affairs and strategic communication risks and
18. mitigation measures which align with the organisations strategic objectives.
19. Supporting public affairs event planning/project management.
20. Working with internal stakeholders to ensure Public Affairs activities are compliant with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and best practice.
What You'll Need:
21. A degree (a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or greater) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, Public Policy, Sustainability or a related field.
22. Minimum three years' directly relevant experience working in public affairs, public relations / advocacy, communications, marketing or related area.
23. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing comprehensive public affairs, stakeholder engagement, communications strategies and plans.
24. Excellent communication (both written and oral) including report writing, presenting and public speaking.
25. Well-developed IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Desirable Skills:
26. Evidence of knowledge and understanding of public service organisations and the governance and regulatory framework within which they operate.
27. Strong proactive approach to achieving results, including managing scope, time, risk assessment, cost, and quality.
28. Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
