Job Purpose:
The Global Director – Key Account Management – Medtech (Global Key Account Manager) will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key MEDTECH (medical devices, diagnostics, and equipment) clients worldwide. This role is crucial to our growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering high-quality logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Life sciences, healthcare, and Medtech logistics industry, with a strong understanding of client needs and excellent relationship-building skills.
Key Accountabilities:
Client Relationship Management:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key MEDTECH clients, understanding their needs and challenges.
* Act as the primary contact and advocate for clients within the organization.
Account Growth and Expansion:
* Identify opportunities for account growth and collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions.
* Ensure clients are aware of all services and capabilities offered to meet their logistics requirements, connecting various capabilities to provide tailored solutions.
Strategic Planning:
* Create and implement strategic account plans aligning client objectives with our logistics solutions.
* Analyze industry trends to identify engagement opportunities.
Leadership and Representation:
* Manage and lead an engaged team, promoting collaboration and development.
* Act as an ambassador for DP World, promoting positive behaviors and ensuring safety and ethical standards are upheld.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
* At least 10 years of experience in healthcare logistics or supply chain management.
* Proven success in global key account management within MedTech.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with CRM systems, Excel, and logistics software.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
* Experience with lean management and continuous improvement is a plus.
