Bodyshop Administrator/Assessor
Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin
Northgate Ireland has been supplying and managing vehicles for businesses across Ireland for over 20 years. We continue to grow and dominate the light commercial vehicle market with depots in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.
Our expanding network of branches and sizeable fleet enable us to deliver vehicles to customers quickly and keep them on the road longer by minimizing downtime. Our fleet includes light commercial vehicles from leading manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Ford, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen, and Peugeot.
Due to our growth, we have a full-time vacancy within our Bodyshop team in Dublin.
This role is ideal for someone with relevant experience in a similar position.
Role Overview
Responsible for processing all damages requiring Bodyshop assessment and repair, ensuring vehicle downtime aligns with KPIs, and maintaining no more than 2% of the Dublin fleet in Bodyshop at any time.
Key Responsibilities
* Take additional images of damaged vehicles for damage packs
* Upload damage packs to shared drives
* Perform quality checks on vehicles post-repair
* Notify Workshop Manager of QC outcomes
* Manage and monitor vehicles in Bodyshop
* Manage damage documentation requests
* Serve as contact for Service Department and other departments
* Provide training support to satellite branches as needed
* Coordinate with Asset Department for vehicle movements
* Ensure timely job card creation and update CAP accordingly
* Update internal and external customers on repair status
* Handle correspondence via email and letters
* Communicate daily with external Bodyshop
* Conduct weekly and monthly fleet audit reports
* Maintain filing systems

Person Specification
* Leaving Certificate including Maths & English or equivalent
* Basic knowledge of vehicle panels and maintenance
* Experience in a Bodyshop environment
* Proven customer service skills and relationship building
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to work under pressure
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Organized, self-motivated, and administrative skills
* Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
* Team player adaptable to change
* Experience in vehicle rental or the motor industry
* Body shop, warranty, or workshop experience is desirable
* Suitable for apprentice mechanics or panel beaters interested in administrative roles
