My client is seeking an experienced Validation Engineer to join their team in Limerick on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This role will play a key part in supporting the completion of a full validation pack for a new automated packaging line, offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to a high-impact technical project.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical and engineering support within the manufacturing cell.
Work closely with engineering leadership to deliver key business objectives.
Drive the development and implementation of world-class manufacturing practices in a production environment.
Lead technical support for specific product and process-related issues.
Monitor line performance and implement structured improvement activities to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Lead or support validation activities including URS, VP, DQ, EQ, MSA, and PQ.
Note: You will not be required to approve validations, but strong experience in drafting, executing, and leading these activities is essential.
Contribute significantly to validation documentation and execution for a new automated packaging line.
Experience in packaging and/or automation is advantageous but not essential.
Conduct Gauge RCR studies and support validation for new products and processes.
Apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to structured problem-solving efforts.
Lead strategic projects (value stream and cross-functional), including scoping, approval, budgeting, execution, qualification, and handover.
Continuously monitor and report on key business metrics and proactively resolve performance issues.
Requirements
Level 8 Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with practical validation experience.
Strong background in leading or supporting validation projects from URS through PQ.
Confident and effective decision-maker with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and delivering technical projects.
Proven project management and process improvement capability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with measurable results.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
