St. Joseph's Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1968, the Foundation has grown through continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
The Foundation offers services to children and adults via day services, residential, respite care, and home support in North Cork and South West Limerick. Locations include Charleville, Dromina, Newtownshandrum, Buttevant, Newmarket, Mitchelstown, Mallow, Ballylanders, Ballyagran, Bruree, Bruff, Croom, Dromcollogher, Granagh, Kilmallock, and Liskennett.

The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 3 years' experience working with children or adults with an intellectual disability in a residential setting.
* A social care worker or nursing qualification.
* Proven managerial skills with a minimum of three years' management experience and an appropriate management qualification at Fetac/QQI level 6 or equivalent.
* Ability to lead a staff team effectively.
* Experience managing residential budgets.
* Detailed knowledge of HIQA standards.
* Experience working with adults with behaviours that challenge (desirable).
* A full Irish Driving Licence.

Notes:
* Hourly commitment: 37.5 hours (4-day week possible).
* Salary range: €50,000 to €64,000 plus €1,500 allowance.
Job goal: To manage the residence, support residents, and work towards their priorities in line with The National Standards for Residential Services Children and Adults with Disabilities 2013 and the Health Care Act 2007 (Care and support of residents in designated centres for persons with disabilities) regulations 2013. To provide a home-like environment in accordance with the Foundation's Mission Statement.
Responsibilities include:
* Quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, communication facilitation, and clinical leadership.
* Upholding the ethos, mission, vision, and core values of the Foundation.
* Ensuring staff adhere to policies, professional conduct, and scope of practice.
* Reporting safety and welfare concerns promptly.
* Implementing a holistic, person-centred model of care.
* Leadership in interdisciplinary care, staff coaching, supervision, and development.
* Monitoring quality and clinical effectiveness, ensuring evidence-based practice.
* Resource allocation, budgeting, staff scheduling, and health and safety compliance.
* Performance management and staff appraisals.
* Promoting a positive organizational culture and staff morale.
* Fostering team working and professional development.
* Managing human resources efficiently, including recruitment, induction, and grievances.
* Ensuring effective use of resources and budget management.
* Maintaining health and safety standards and emergency procedures.
* Upholding professional and clinical responsibilities, confidentiality, and legislation compliance.
* Developing effective communication with families and monitoring support services.
* Handling complaints per policy.
