The Senior Analyst, Risk & Compliance (NBI) will provide all aspects of support to the Firm, its Partners and Offices regarding all tasks encompassing the vetting of high-risk clients and matters per established NBI procedures and Firm policy. The New Business Intake ("NBI") Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst helps the Firm to mitigate risk about new business acceptance by vetting high-risk New Clients and matters, conducting periodic due diligence on existing clients who have been flagged as high risk, and conducting monthly New Client audit reviews. Main responsibilities: Review and assess high-risk new clients and matters as submitted directly to the high-risk review queue and further escalate to management for resolution as required Conduct periodic due diligence screening on existing flagged high-risk clients for status updates Conduct monthly New Client audit checks on un-escalated matters perceived by Management as high risk Conduct audit checks on active Firm payers perceived by management as high risk Assist with the screening of newly sanctioned entities (US, UK and EU) against Intapp client records for hits in real time, as needed Assist with in-depth research / due diligence projects as required Provide support and assistance with Intapp risk technology improvement projects and initiatives as required Skills and experience: A bachelor's degree with some relevant legal Risk & Compliance experience Comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and U.S. sanctions knowledge (ACAMS accreditation preferred) Strong grasp of Law Firm risk issues and escalation/resolution processes Knowledge of American Bar Association (ABA) Rules of Professional Conduct Strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Sharply-honed decision-making skills; refined judgment Excellent working knowledge of Intapp, Microsoft Office and online research tools Able to exert professionalism and influence in a positive manner Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service-oriented attitude Able to engage and collaborate with team members locally and globally across Service Centers Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, manage workloads, meet deadlines and prioritize efficiently Able to leverage consultant resources and utilize information appropriately Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Able to contribute ideas for process improvements and adapt easily to procedural changes Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated in interactions with all colleagues throughout the Firm, as well as Partners and management Positivity and the adoption of a solution-based approach in all aspects of work Working at Baker McKenzie: Baker McKenzie is the world's leading law firm with offices all over the world.
