Maintenance Electrician Job Summary
This is a challenging and dynamic role for an experienced maintenance electrician to join our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and equipment maintenance, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, panels, and systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
* Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain industrial communication systems, heavy-duty electrical equipment, and perform quality testing and inspections.
* Out-of-Hours Support: Provide support during plant start-up, running, and shutdown activities, participating in on-call rotas as required.
* Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations, performing other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Engineer.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Problem-Solving and Fault-Finding: Experience with MV/LV AC and LC DC switchgear and distribution systems.
* Facilities Management Experience: Proven experience working in facilities management or on large commercial/industrial sites.
* Certifications: 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.
* BMS and Energy Management: Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and energy management systems.
* Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarms: Previous experience working with emergency lighting systems and fire alarms.
