I am partnering with a medical device client in
Galway
, to hire an
Equipment Engineer
to join its Engineering team.
This permanent role will focus on equipment reliability, maintenance strategy and continuous improvement within a regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage preventative and corrective maintenance programmes.
Reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade equipment.
Ensure safe and compliant maintenance practices.
Maintain CMMS records and performance reports.
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
Support equipment installation and introduction to production.
Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and automation teams.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience in equipment maintenance/engineering.
Manufacturing experience essential; medical device experience advantageous.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge.
Experience with CMMS systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
