Product Design Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing new products, collaborating with the management team, and ensuring compliance with EU/UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Development: Work closely with the management team to design and develop innovative new products that meet customer needs.
2. Reverse Engineering: Reverse-engineer projects to ensure accurate BOMs, drawings, and documentation are ready for production.
3. Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with EU and UK regulations and relevant industry legislation.
4. Documentation: Produce detailed production drawings, including electrical and hydraulic schematics, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the design process.
5. 3D Modeling: Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks software.
6. FEA Analysis: Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize product performance and prepare clear, concise reports.
7. Bills of Materials: Generate accurate Bills of Materials and Standard Operating Procedures for production.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize nesting and machine programming to support efficient manufacturing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience with design software such as SolidWorks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.
