Commercial Lead
We are seeking an accomplished Commercial Lead to spearhead our commercial and contractual matters across a diverse project portfolio, encompassing both live and upcoming projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* To formulate and execute the commercial strategy for each project, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives.
* Manage tendering, bid submissions, contract negotiations, and awards processes to drive revenue growth.
* Oversee cost planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle.
* Handle valuations, variations, change orders, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Maintain and enhance commercial contracts to guarantee compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
* Provide regular commercial reports and forecasts to senior leadership, informing strategic decisions.
* Bullish on building and maintaining exceptional relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to foster long-term partnerships.
* Promote continuous improvement in commercial systems and processes to optimize performance and productivity.
* Support strategic business planning by providing critical commercial insights and analysis.
Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline, demonstrating a solid understanding of commercial principles.
* A minimum of 8 years' commercial experience in construction, with at least 3 in a senior or leadership role, showcasing expertise in managing commercial elements of large-scale projects.
* Proven track record of success in managing commercial aspects of complex public and private sector projects, adhering to Irish contract law and public works contracts (PWC).
* A keen eye for detail, cost management, and financial reporting skills, combined with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
* A practical, hands-on approach and confidence in making informed decisions, driving business growth and success.
