Job Summary
The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's commodity inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and overseeing the efficient flow of goods into, within, and out of the warehouse or storage facility. This role is crucial for optimizing storage space, minimizing waste, preventing stockouts, and supporting the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock using inventory management software and physical counts.
* Conduct regular cycle counting and full physical inventory counts to reconcile stock records with actual inventory and investigate discrepancies.
* Monitor stock levels and identify minimum and maximum stock requirements.
* Receiving and Dispatch:
* Oversee the efficient receiving, inspection, and proper storage of incoming goods.
* Ensure all goods are correctly labelled, barcoded, and stored in designated locations.
* Coordinate the picking, packing, and dispatch of orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Stock Optimization:
* Identify and report on slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock to management.
* Implement and maintain proper stock rotation methods (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out). Using our internal LPN and lot control systems.
* Optimize storage space utilization within the warehouses.
Health and Safety:
* Adhere to all company health, safety, and security procedures within the warehouse environment.
* Ensure the storage areas are clean, tidy, and organized.
Liaison:
* Communicate effectively with the procurement, sales, and logistics teams to coordinate inventory needs and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus).
* Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 2+ years) working as a Stock Controller, Inventory Clerk, or in a similar inventory management role.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in using inventory management systems (IMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
* Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
* Knowledge of standard warehousing practices and procedures.

* Operation of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) may be necessary, requiring relevant certification.
* The role will be generally be 8am to 5pm with room for flexibility.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €31,000.00-€34,000.00 per year
