Overview
Due to continued growth, our Audit & Assurance team is expanding its specialist practice in aviation leasing, securitisation, and asset management. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to dynamic and fast-evolving sectors, working with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients, including investment funds, SPVs, and aviation finance structures.
You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, with opportunities to develop deep sector expertise and work on complex, cross-border audit assignments.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the full lifecycle of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting stages.
* Perform in-depth audit procedures, including risk assessments, control testing, and substantive audit work.
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
* Develop a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, particularly in aviation, structured finance, and asset management sectors.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure all audit work is completed in compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and firm methodologies.
* Contribute to the enhancement of audit processes and tools to drive efficiency and maintain high audit quality.
* Stay up to date with developments in auditing standards, accounting frameworks (especially IFRS), and relevant sector regulations through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Skills
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in external audit, ideally within a professional services firm.
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Strong technical knowledge with practical experience applying IFRS; knowledge of UK/Irish GAAP or US GAAP is a plus.
* Demonstrated experience in managing audit engagements from planning to completion.
* Exposure to a diverse client portfolio; experience with aviation leasing, SPVs, funds, or financial services clients is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Ambitious, proactive, and committed to a long-term career in practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and build rapport with clients.
