We are now seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our small, dynamic kitchen team.
Role Overview You will work closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for guests, private events, weddings, and bespoke dining experiences.This role suits someone who thrives in a refined, calm kitchen environment and enjoys autonomy, creativity, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard following Screebe House recipes and presentation guidelines.
Support menu development using local, seasonal, and sustainable produce.
Maintain exceptional cleanliness and food safety standards (HACCP).
Manage stock levels, deliveries, and correct storage.
Assist with cost control, waste reduction, and portion consistency.
Contribute to the smooth running of daily operations, including breakfast and evening service.
Collaborate with the FOH and events team to deliver seamless guest experiences.
Help with special menus for weddings, tasting dinners, and seasonal events.
Requirements Previous experience in a similar role (hotel, fine dining, or upscale restaurant).
Strong culinary skills and passion for quality and presentation.
Good knowledge of Irish and European cuisine; interest in local ingredients.
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm, organised workstation.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days.
HACCP certified (or willing to obtain).
Positive attitude, reliability, and good communication skills.
