Overview
Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Reservations Assistant on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to join our unique four‑star hotel in the heart of the city.
Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue / Reservations Manager, you will play a key role in managing individual and group bookings, ensuring accurate reservation records, and providing exceptional service to all guests.
Responsibilities
* Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms
* Manage reservations from travel agents, corporate clients, and direct bookings
* Maintain accurate records of reservations, confirmations, and contracts
* Process cancellations, modifications, and advance deposits
* Track room availability and assist with revenue and occupancy forecasts
* Prepare daily expected arrival lists for front office use
* Communicate relevant reservation updates to the front desk and other departments
* Assist with online rate and availability management across booking channels
* Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate guest information and promote hotel services
* Support reporting on reservations and occupancy as required by management
* Maintain a neat, organized, and professional reservations workspace
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in reservations or hospitality
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Customer‑focused and professional
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS systems (e.g., Opera)
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Positive attitude and proactive approach
