International mechanical project leader

Global Project Engineer - International Engineering Challenge

Are you a mechanically-minded engineer looking for a global challenge? This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of engineering projects across international manufacturing sites with over 50% travel across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America.

We're seeking a Global Project Engineer with a hands-on approach, a strong mechanical background, and a desire to work on-site with real equipment, not just behind a desk.

* Lead and support engineering projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
* Travel extensively (60-70% annually) to support sites in France, Spain, UK, North America, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand.
* Deliver practical engineering solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and performance across manufacturing systems.
* Collaborate with site teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

* Mechanical engineering degree essential.
* 3-5+ years' experience in a practical engineering role, hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, or trade backgrounds preferred.
* Experience with CAD or similar software; able to read 2D/3D technical drawings and P&IDs.
* Strong project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with extended travel.
