A senior quantity surveyor is required to join our team.
Key responsibilities include managing the commercial aspects of projects, preparing detailed cost plans and budget estimates, leading value engineering exercises, developing accurate Bills of Quantities and tender documentation, evaluating contractor tenders and ensuring alignment with project goals, assessing interim valuations and managing variation negotiations, providing accurate cost reporting and assisting in settling final accounts.
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related field and be professionally qualified. They should also have over 7 years' post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment and strong communication and report-writing skills.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost plans and budget estimates
* Lead value engineering exercises, identifying potential risks and opportunities
* Develop accurate Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
* Evaluate contractor tenders and ensure alignment with project goals
* Assess interim valuations and manage variation negotiations
* Provide accurate cost reporting and assist in settling final accounts
Skills:
* Strong understanding of contract documentation, valuations and claims
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills
