The Technical Support Engineer is a senior technical support role within the Cohesity support organization. The position is based in our local support center, where you will work with talented engineers to ensure that Cohesity customers receive the highest level of support. We are looking for passionate individuals with deep technical expertise, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
How You'll Spend Your Time Here
* Work with customers to resolve technical issues promptly
* Use tools to investigate and troubleshoot issues
* Record interactions, investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions
* Collaborate with engineering and account management teams
* Apply judgment to select appropriate methods for solutions
* Provide excellent customer experience
* Manage workload to ensure timely resolution of issues
* Develop self-service solutions for future incidents
* Create knowledge base articles
* Mentor other engineers
We'd Love to Talk to You If You Have Many of the Following
* Experience in storage, networking, and virtualization environments
* Strong Linux understanding and administration skills
* Ability to analyze diagnostics and communicate issues clearly
* Knowledge of Linux debugging utilities like tcpdump, strace, Wireshark
* Experience with remote file access protocols such as NFS, SMB (CIFS)
* Solid understanding of storage concepts, virtualization, and data protection (e.g., VMware, Commvault, Symantec, DellEMC, NetApp)
* Experience with distributed file systems
* Performance analysis skills
* Experience with CentOS Linux architecture
* Debugging experience with complex, multi-threaded code
