Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a small animal vet to join a well-established, independent practice located in Waterford. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an excellent work-life balance and a friendly, supportive team environment. The role is based on a 35-hour working week with a manageable rota.
Responsibilities
* 3:1 in-house patients rota
* Early finishes: two days finishing at 4pm, two days at 6pm
* Fridays: two out of three finish at 1pm, the third at 4pm
* Saturdays: one in three, 3-hour clinic from 10am–1pm
* Rota designed to ensure two full weekends off out of every three, with early Friday finishes leading into uninterrupted weekends, returning Monday at 9am
* Out-of-hours duties are light, typically involving only one or two calls per shift
* Strong support from the practice manager and a highly experienced senior vet with over 30 years in the profession
* Caseload is varied and engaging
* Be confident in routine surgeries including cat neuters, spays, dog neuters, and lumpectomies
Qualifications
* Minimum of one year experience in clinical diagnostics and in the surgical procedures mentioned
