The Representative Church Body (RCB) has an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Administrator to join our team. This person will provide administrative support to the Safeguarding Team, assisting them in their role of advising, developing policy and training those involved in dioceses and parishes to implement the safeguarding children policy and adult safeguarding policy.

The RCBs offices are located at Church of Ireland House in Rathmines, Dublin 6. The RCB operates a number of functions which include Safeguarding, Finance & IT, Investments, Property & Trusts, Legal, Synod & Communications, RCB Library and Education.

Reporting
The Safeguarding Administrator will report to the Safeguarding Manager for Policy and Training. The role is based in Church House, Rathmines. It is envisaged that the role may occasionally include travel across the island of Ireland to engage with the safeguarding team, and personnel in parishes and dioceses involved in safeguarding.

Main Duties
This role includes but is not limited to the following duties:

* Administration support to the Safeguarding Team
* Communicating, logging and password protection management of advice information to dioceses and parishes
* Management, formatting and reporting of annual Parish Returns
* Training coordination and administration
* Continue to develop case file administration and maintenance both online and physical files
* Safeguarding website management
* Safeguarding Board duties including attendance at Board meetings, drafting minutes, papers and agenda
* Attendance, taking minutes and following up on actions relating to Safeguarding Triage meetings
* Safeguarding budget administration
* Developing and coordinating Service Level Agreement (SLA) information for Garda Vetting and AccessNI signatories
* Developing reports for safeguarding activities
* Maintenance of Salesforce database for safeguarding activities including contact details for relevant Church safeguarding personnel, training attendance, communication preferences and training delivered
* Other duties as assigned by the Safeguarding Managers.

Person Specification

* A relevant 3rd level qualification (NVQ Level 7 equivalent or above) or equivalent administrative experience
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Attention to detail
* Familiarity with standard computer packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access or equivalent database software
* Familiarity with website content management systems
* Understanding of data protection, confidentiality and information sharing procedures
* Experience and an interest in working in the Not-for-profit sector would be an advantage
* Entitlement to work in Ireland.
