ROLE OVERVIEW


Primary Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover)
Start Date: August 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join our outstanding team on a maternity leave cover basis from August 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, internationally-minded environment where curiosity, creativity and a love of learning are celebrated.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), ensuring that each child is engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning journey.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, deliver and assess engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the PYP framework

Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where all learners feel valued and supported

Use formative and summative assessment to inform teaching and promote student progress

Maintain open, professional communication with parents and carers

Contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including events, trips and enrichment activities

Work collaboratively with year group colleagues and the wider teaching team

Safeguard the welfare of students and uphold the school’s core values


ABOUT YOU

You are a reflective and enthusiastic educator with a strong understanding of child development and primary pedagogy. You bring energy, flexibility and a team spirit, and are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

A degree from an accredited and government-recognised university

Experience teaching in a primary classroom setting

A growth mindset and commitment to professional learning

Eligibility to work in the EU

Experience with the IB PYP or inquiry-based learning

Experience working in an international or bilingual school context

Professional fluency in English
