Quality Assurance Systems & Specifications Team leader
Job Description:
Working within the QA Department, this role is to provide accurate and efficient technical support in developing and maintaining live specifications for both raw and finished products, in line with all appropriate quality, sourcing, safety and legal requirements of our customers and against company policy.
You will also work as part of a team to ensure compliance with BRCGS and customer standards.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all raw material specifications and associated documents are fully completed and up-to –date to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and company policies.
* Communicate any changes in raw material specifications to the team so that any potential food safety issues can be risk assessed and managed effectively.
* Assist R&D and Quality teams with the completion of product specific QAS's and factory process instructions.
* Liaise directly with R&D and QA Departments to develop finished product specifications.
* Engage directly with customers to address specification queries and generate pack copy documents necessary for pack design.
* Lead the food defence team in undertaking and reviewing a documented risk assessment of potential risks to products.
* Support and contribute to HACCP development, implementation, and review.
* Complete internal audits of the Company QMS and supporting food safety activities.
* Ensure that all records generated are maintained in good condition, retrievable, stored securely and reviewed where necessary.
