Procurement Officer Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our client's Finance Team in South Dublin. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension.
About the Role
This role plays a vital part in procurement, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the procurement process from start to finish, including Purchase Orders and contract drafting
* Assisting in management of the Corporate Procurement Plan and Approved Supplier List
* Analysing expenditure on products and services to identify areas for cost savings
* Developing business relationships with suppliers and implementing best sourcing practices
* Driving cost reduction through process improvements and supporting developments with expected cost proposals and estimates
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement and contracts management in a busy operating environment
* A working knowledge of Public Procurement Directives, National Procurement Policy, and relevant circulars
* A third-level qualification in a relevant subject area or a relevant professional qualification
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ERP solutions, and CRM systems
