About Your New Role
As a
Construction Estimator
, you'll play a key role in the pre-construction and tendering process, ensuring accurate cost estimates and competitive submissions for major building projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing detailed cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
* Conducting take-offs, material pricing, and subcontractor analysis.
* Liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements.
* Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
* Managing multiple tenders simultaneously to tight deadlines.
This role offers the chance to work on projects valued from €10m to €100m+, spanning commercial offices, mixed-use developments, and public infrastructure.
What You Need
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an Estimating role, ideally with a main contractor.
* Strong knowledge of Irish construction costs, tendering procedures, and market rates.
* Proficiency in estimating software (such as Buildsoft or Cubit) and MS Excel.
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
* A collaborative mindset and keen attention to detail.
