Senior Data Architect
I'm currently supporting a large-scale platform modernisation within a regulated financial services environment and are looking for an experienced Data Architecture specialist to take ownership of the data landscape during a critical transformation phase.
This role sits at the intersection of core insurance platforms, cloud-based analytics, and enterprise data governance, with real influence over how data is structured, moved, and trusted across the organisation.
Contract Details:
1. Initial 6-month contract, potential to roll
2. Hybrid working: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
3. Dublin city centre location
4. Highly competitive day rate available
What you'll be doing:
5. Shaping the future-state data architecture for a major core system replacement, from conceptual models through to physical implementation
6. Defining how data flows between new platforms and existing estates, enabling side-by-side operation during phased rollout
7. Designing scalable patterns for ingestion, storage, and analytics across modern cloud environments
8. Acting as the architectural authority for data, ensuring designs meet internal standards, regulatory expectations, and programme goals
9. Working closely with technology, delivery, and governance teams to ensure architecture translates into real-world delivery
What you'll bring:
10. Proven experience leading enterprise-level data architecture in complex transformation programmes
11. Deep understanding of insurance data structures and large transactional platforms
12. Databricks architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
13. Hands-on architectural knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and lakehouse-style analytics
14. Strong background in data modelling, integration approaches, and governance frameworks
15. Experience supporting parallel-run or coexistence strategies during system migrations
