Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Manager to lead sales and drive growth in collaboration with Area Territory Managers and Merchandising team across Ireland for our Home, Garden and DIY business and our FMGC business. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting our wide range of brands and services to achieve revenue targets. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will develop and implement strategic field sales plans, oversee field sales operations in, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This role will be a mix of client facing in the field and working closely with in our team in our HQ in Dublin. Achieve budget targets on revenue and volume Key Responsibilities: Work with our field sales team and merchandising team to grow our business Manage business pipeline to increase field sales. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expand market presence. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking in new current and new channels. Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform decision-making. Represent the company at relevant trade shows, training events, and exhibitions. Identify and mitigate any issues or risks impacting sales. Provide detailed reporting on sales performance, including KPIs and objectives such as pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, sales conversion rates, and sales cycles. Travel nationwide to meet customers and colleagues. Be highly visible across the company portfolio, seeking to improve sales through ongoing visits and remote engagement. Create and promote a customer-service culture across the business by working closely with colleagues on issues and opportunities. Experience in creating sales proposals and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. Key Skills and Competencies Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge, influence, and advise clients. Previous working experience as BDM, especially within the FMCG and or DIY sector would be an advantage Requirements: To manage field sales operation team of (7+ people) To develop and manage the training, discipline and motivation of all staff employed within the field sales operation. To develop Strong Customer Relationships To control and motivate sales team to achieve targets, improve performance using the Appraisal /KPI process. Organise & manage regular team meetings to meet business needs. To identify and ensure full implementation of Best Practice procedures for the field sales operation. To devise and revise as appropriate the allocation of sales management areas. To assist the Services Manager in the development of a strategic plan for the sales function for the Convenience channel, Hardware and retail business and to be responsible for its operational implementation. Full management of the Field Sales Team to achieve agreed client KPIs. To ensure optimum execution of promotional plans & NPD execution. Drive Distribution across all channels Input into cross functional discussions around portfolio performance Presentation of monthly & quarterly reports as part of the client governance model.
