We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team, supporting both live projects and pre-construction activities.Role OverviewThis is a dual role combining project commercial management and estimating responsibilities. The successful candidate will assist with cost control, contract administration, valuations, and final accounts on live projects while also supporting tendering, take-offs, and pricing of new works.Key ResponsibilitiesProject QS DutiesAssist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost reports.Measure and value works carried out on site.Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.Support subcontractor procurement, payment applications, and account management.Maintain records of variations, claims, and change orders.Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.Estimating DutiesReview tender documents, drawings, and specifications.Carry out material and labour take-offs.Prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules.Request and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.Assist in preparation of tender submissions and supporting documentation.Work with senior team members to develop competitive and accurate bids.Skills & AttributesDegree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field (or working towards).Strong numerical and analytical skills.Good knowledge of construction methods and measurement.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential); experience with QS/estimating software beneficial.Strong communication and organisational skills.Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of working as part of a team.What We OfferCompetitive salary package (dependent on experience).Mentoring and development towards professional accreditation (e.g. RICS/CICES).Exposure to both site-based project work and office-based pre-construction activities.Career progression within a growing company.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
