Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist-Primary care adult
Location: Edenderry, Co. Laois
Contract Type: Full-time Agency Contract, 6 month to commence
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Aligned with HSE pay scales for the appropriate Senior grade.

Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist or Staff Grade Physiotherapist for a Primary Care team in Edenderry, Co. Laois

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience, treating Musculoskeletal/ Ortho/ Trauma patients.

2. A varied adult caseload offering experience across MSK, neuro, mobility, and falls prevention.
3. Regular supervision, CPD, and career development support.

As a Senior Physiotherapist within the Primary Care Adult Service, you will work with a broad range of adult clients in the community. This diverse caseload includes: (MSK) conditions, falls prevention and mobility issues, neurological rehabilitation and general adult rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

4. Act as lead clinician in assigned areas and manage a complex clinical caseload.
5. Provide comprehensive assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and review for adults with MSK, neuro, mobility, and falls-related presentations.
6. Contribute to and lead on service development projects relevant to adult primary care.
7. Support and supervise staff grade Physiotherapists and students as appropriate.
8. Deliver physiotherapy interventions across varied settings including clinics and home visits.
9. Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and the wider MDT.
10. Document all client interactions in line with professional and departmental standards
11. Promote health and wellbeing with an emphasis on prevention and independence.
12. Participate in case conferences, review meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions.
13. Contribute to professional standards, best practice, and CPD.

Requirements:

14. Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
15. Minimum of three years of post-graduate Physiotherapy experience, with at least one year at Senior level (preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting).
16. Strong experience in, Rehabilitation, falls prevention, MSK, and/or Neurological Physiotherapy.
17. Experience in managing limited resources and high workloads
18. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
19. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
20. Full clean driver's license and access to a car for community visits.
