The Category Development Manager will spearhead the development and execution of a multi-year roadmap aimed at driving significant category growth across various channels and customers. Role Responsibilities:
* Strategic Roadmap Development: Lead the creation of a differentiated 3+ year category growth strategy tailored by customer and channel.
* Performance Management: Oversee in-year category performance, identifying course corrections to meet targets.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide teams during customer range reviews, collaborating with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) to optimize assortment.
* Innovation Partnership: Drive growth initiatives with the innovation team, aligning pipelines with insights and market realities.
* Insight & Data Utilization: Develop reporting tools to inform category plans across channels.
* External Insight Leadership: Lead external insights initiatives using an 'Outside In' approach.
* Integrate global FMCG industry insights to maintain Diageo Ireland's leadership in category development practices.
* Manage diverse collaborators across channels and customer landscapes, leading and influencing effectively.
* Foster talent development within teams to ensure a strong future pipeline.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Accountable for LAD Market Share across the Island of Ireland.
* Delivering distribution growth, gaining shelf share, and improving shelf placement of key brands and formats.
