Job Title: Heavy Building Material Supervisor
We are seeking a results-driven Heavy Building Material Supervisor to oversee procurement, stock management, and coordination of heavy building materials in the Cork area.
* Maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring usage and reordering as needed
* Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely deliveries
* Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve stock discrepancies
* Coordinate with accounts to manage payment terms and invoice processing
* Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and product information via phone and email
* Process customer orders and ensure accurate documentation and timely fulfillment
* Assist in preparing quotations and sales proposals in collaboration with sales representatives
* Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address issues
* Manage a small ledger of accounts, ensuring payments are up to date
* Work with finance to resolve billing issues and overdue accounts
* Provide administrative support to senior management, including report preparation and scheduling
* Coordinate delivery logistics to ensure efficient dispatch of materials
* Manage stock control system data accuracy and related administrative tasks
* Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes
* Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with customers, sales teams, and suppliers
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting
* Familiarity with account management software and financial reporting
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Experience handling quotations, orders, and customer communications
