The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of water services project management, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in the Irish/UK water sectors.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of water infrastructure projects, from networks and pumping stations to treatment plants. As a seasoned professional, you will be expected to lead project teams and make key decisions to ensure project success.
Your experience in technical report writing, contract administration, and safety and health regulations will be essential in this position. Additionally, your ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders will be critical in ensuring project delivery meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance and oversight to support the advancement of 8 separate water projects in the Greater Dublin area.
* Lead project teams to deliver wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, time, and budget.
* Manage the HSQE aspects of projects, including the appointment and monitoring of Project Supervisors to promote a proactive safety culture.
* Monitor and control project progress, reporting on key metrics such as Time, Cost, Quality, and HSQE.
* Champion project supplier performance, escalating any issues to Regional Lead as necessary.
* Familiarize yourself with Irish Water Standards to ensure high levels of project quality delivery.
* Contribute to program exercises such as lessons learned, stakeholder management, procurement, and risk management.
* Provide leadership to ensure effective team development and performance.
Requirements:
* Civil Engineer with 7+ years' experience in designing or constructing water services projects in the Irish/UK water sectors.
* Technical report writing experience, particularly feasibility study reports assessing engineering alternatives with options costed and in Whole Life Cost terms.
* Experience working on a wide range of municipal water services projects at various stages in the project life cycles.
* Strong client-facing skills, comfortable leading projects and serving as the sole point of contact for clients.
* Proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of various contract types, including FIDIC, NEC, Public Works, and Irish Water contracts.
* Awareness of safety and health regulations related to the design process.
