A well established nursing home located in Laois has an opportunity for a Head Chef.

They are hiring a Chef Manager for a permanent full-time role Laois to co-ordinate the day-to-day catering operation, maintaining high standards of food and service.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and have the ability to work weekdays and weekends as required.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Ensure that the highest standard of food quality, Nutrition, presentation and service are achieved and maintained at all times
• Ensure regular monitoring of menus for variety and cost and to provide innovative ideas for menu planning
• The performance of any reasonable task which assists with the efficient operation of the unit
Desired Skills:
• A passion for service and quality
• Good people management skills
• Have experience and knowledge in relation to modified Diets
• Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
• Responsibility of stock management
• Professionalism and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business
• Hands-on operator with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence
• An excellent knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP Level 2
Qualification / Experience:
• Degree or Qualification in: Fast paced food Production / Culinary Arts / operational experience in:
• Working in a Nursing Home or Healthcare Environment is preferable not necessary.
