Spa ReceptionistJob DescriptionThe Role:The Spa Receptionist will oversee the cleanliness our Shore Island Spa, assisting Spa Therapists in rooms and after treatments.Reporting to:The Spa Receptionist will report on a daily basis to the Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager, to ensure that the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained for our clients and guests.The Person:We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record as a Spa Attendant or has previous experience in similar areas within a business, who can demonstrate the ability to successfully manage a high standard of service.The Hotel:Lough Rea Hotel and Spa is one of the most highly recommended and well known venues in Galway. Situated just outside the quaint town of Loughrea overlooking Loughrea Lake. Guests can enjoy the Rooftop Garden Bar and Sky Lounge, which boasts panoramic views of Loughrea Lake and the Galway countryside.The hotels facilities consists of 91 bedrooms, Shore Island Spa, ample free car parking on site, Lir Bar & Brasserie, Abbey Restaurant, along a large conference suite and 6 breakout rooms catering for conferences up to 500 people.One of Six properties within the Só Hotel Group, there are significant progression and development opportunities for ambitious and driven hospitality professionals.Key Responsibilities include:· To deal with customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company procedures.· To ensure all clients receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their treatment.· Be efficient in all aspects of the Spa Business i.e. when taking a spa reservation use the time slots as efficiently as possible.· To pass on any referred/sales leads to the sales department, to assist in sales as required.· Stock Control.· Reception duties, enquiries, cash handling and point of sale handling.· To ensure familiarity with the cash handling and credit policy of the hotel. Be accountable for your cash float at all times and follow all procedures with regard to floats at start and finish of work shift· Achieve product sale targets set by Management.· To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products· Keep a clean and stocked room at all times.· Ensure our clients experience lives up to and exceeds expectations from the moment of initial contact and right through to the end of their treatment.· Ensure a high level of hygiene is maintained throughout the Spa.· Be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations of the hotel with specific regard to: Hygiene, Fire Procedures, Health and Safety at Work, Safety Regulations.· Work as part of a team and assist colleagues in the general running of the Spa.· To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress appearance, body language and conduct is maintained at all times.· Ensure good communication skills within the Spa and with all other departments.· Stock Control.· To report on all client feedback to Supervisor/Manager.· To carry out departmental standards in accordance with the SOP Manual.· To report on duty on time in accordance with hotel grooming standards.· To accept a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests.· To ensure all accidents, incidents and suspicious occurrences are reported to the relevant people and to assist in providing all relevant backup.· To report defective materials and equipment to appropriate individual.· To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by management.· Ensure that the Department operates in a client focused manner; always striving to exceed client expectations thereby building customer and brand loyalty.· To be fully aware of the hotel facilities, activities, targets and promotions, special activities within the hotel· To deal with customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company procedures.· Regularly attend, participate and support training and staff meetings for the spa.The Ideal Candidate:· Proven experience in Reception / Spa / Salon· Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress· Outstanding communication and team work skillsBenefits:Employee discount at Só Hotel group properties.Career development and progression opportunities.Food allowance.Employee Assistance ProgrammeJob Type: PermanentBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFood allowanceExperience:Spa / Salon Receptionist: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
