Kraken is committed to industry-leading security, crypto education, and world-class client support through our products like Kraken Pro, Desktop, Wallet, and Kraken Futures.Become a Krakenite and build the future of crypto!The opportunityPerforms highly skilled preventative and corrective on-site maintenance to critical exchange infrastructurePerforms highly skilled installations on complex server and network infrastructureProvides hands-on facility support where required (e.g. installation of new equipment, decommissioning of equipment, replacement of faulty equipment, internal audits, etc.)Responsible for Asset and Inventory managementResponsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislationResponse for bootstrapping physical infrastructure via out-of-band management networksAssist with basic network configuration for setting up out-of-band device accessAssist with capacity planning/management, scaling and interconnecting with other data centres as neededMonitor and maintain all physical infrastructure (network, security, and compute), remote office locations, and respond to critical problems to maximise service uptimeAssume on-call responsibilities and duties per the scheduleTravel as needed to support physical data centre and onsite infrastructure such as WiFi access points, Internet circuits, firewallsTravel as needed to new facilities to support planning for future infrastructure expansionSkills You Should HODL2+ years experience of data centre operations in a highly security focused environment2+ years experience working in a large-scale data centre environmentExperience with power, cooling and airflow management of physical devicesBasic knowledge of IP addressing and an understanding of subnets and gateway configuration for out-of-band device managementExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform well under pressure, high attention to detailStrong desire / interest in learning new technologyHighly motivated and passionate about data centre engineering and securityPhysical labour skill, able to lift more than 25 kgsThis role requires the ability to travel.
