Avoca are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis. This role is based in our Avoca Central Bakery & Kitchen, Bray, Co Wicklow.

Role Purpose:
A warehouse operative job involves receiving, storing, and dispatching food products, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, often requiring the use of warehouse equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Receiving and Storing:
o Unloading and checking incoming food shipments for accuracy and damage.
o Storing food products in designated areas, following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and temperature requirements.
o Maintaining accurate inventory records and using warehouse management systems (WMS).
o Picking and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
o Loading goods onto trucks for shipping.
o Preparing and organizing shipments for delivery.
2. Warehouse Maintenance:
o Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
o Cleaning equipment and warehouse areas.
o Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
3. Equipment Operation:
o Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts.
o Following safety procedures when operating equipment.
4. Other Duties:
o Assisting with inventory counts and audits.
o Participating in team meetings and training sessions.
o Following all company policies and procedures.
5. Food Safety:
o Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area.
o Following all food safety procedures, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
o Ensuring that food products are stored and handled according to food safety regulations.

This is a Full time role, 7 am - 4 pm shift, Monday to Friday. Shift hours and pay rate will be discussed during the interview.
