">A leading global technology company is seeking a highly experienced technical leader to join their global product engineering team in Belfast.
We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in enterprise-level Java development and deep REST API and microservice expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with databases, cloud-native practices, and CI/CD pipelines, as well as proven leadership in agile environments and mentoring technical teams.
The successful candidate will lead design and development of large-scale backend services in Java/J2 EE (Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs) and own solution architecture across microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native deployments. They will also oversee development standards, documentation, mentoring, and quality assurance, engaging in Gen AI tooling and integration (e.g. GPT, Claude, Git Hub Copilot).
To succeed in this role, you will need to ensure high system performance, maintainability, and security across deployments, leveraging your expertise in monitoring, Kafka, caching, and AI technologies.
