This flexible role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per month and involves providing high-quality medical care across a variety of settings, including nursing homes, GP surgeries, community clinics, remote, in clinic and on the road out of hours medical service and remote telehealth platforms.This position is ideal for an independent Doctor who values autonomy, clinical variety, and the ability to support patients in both face-to-face and virtual environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide general medical services to our out-of-hours clients, both on the road and via remote consultations.Availability Monday to Sunday, including evening and night on-call duties on the road.Deliver general medical services within nursing home settingsProvide locum cover in GP practices and community-based clinicsConduct remote consultations and teleclinic appointments using digital health platformsMaintain accurate and timely clinical notes and documentationCollaborate with nursing and allied health professionals across multiple care environmentsEnsure safe, evidence-based care in accordance with Spectrum Health protocols and national guidelinesEssential RequirementsFull registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)Professional medical indemnity insuranceMinimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in general practice or community healthcareProficiency in digital health systems and remote consultation deliveryStrong communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skillsReliable, self-motivated, and patient-focused with a flexible approach to workAvailable to work out of hours and weekendsDesirable ExperienceExperience in Doctor out of hours, nursing home medicine, community care, or telehealth servicesKnowledge of Irish primary care systems and HSE/HIQA standardsAccess to own transport for community visitsWhat We OfferFlexible working hours across mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights on Doctor on Call (Monday–Sunday)Competitive sessional and hourly rates with prompt paymentAdministrative support and efficient clinical systemsOpportunities to work within a multidisciplinary, patient-centred healthcare teamA diverse mix of clinical environments, both onsite and remote
