The Quality Inspector ensures that high quality standards aremaintained and any issues or potential issues are highlighted in a timely manner.Reporting to: Quality ManagerShifts: Shift work may be required as part of this roleResponsibilities & Duties:Conduct first off, in-process and final inspection in accordance with customer specifications and documented quality plan, ensuring checks are carried out accurately and recorded in a timely and efficient mannerApprove in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating issues to production personnelLiaise with counterparts on other shifts to ensure there is continuityParticipate in the training of personnel in quality related issues· New process/equipment approval samplingIdentify non-conformances and failures and initiate corrective actions.Verify effectiveness of corrective actions implemented.Participate in continual improvement projects/teams.Attend meetings as required.Keep equipment and related area clean and tidy - follow 5's guidelinesAny other duties as reasonably requiredQualifications & Experience:· 1-2 years relevant industry experience in a similar role· Experience working within an engineering environment· Relevant diploma in Quality/Science or Engineering would be advantageous but is not essentialPerson/Skills Required:A competence in the use of a broad range of precision inspection instruments, including callipers, gauges, micrometres.Ability to read and understand and engineering drawings and specifications.Ability to converse in both imperial and metric measuring systemsAn appreciation and understanding of the importance of a robust calibration system for inspection equipment and gauges.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFlexible and enthusiastic approach to workProficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of softwareJob Type: Full TimeWork Location: On Site Monday to Friday, Dundalk.Job Type: Full-timePay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Dundalk, CO.
